Softball Recap: Westover Comes Up Short

Westover came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-8 to the Deerfield-Windsor Knights. The Patriots have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Timeria Neal made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Morgan Polite was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Westover now has a losing record of 1-2.

Westover didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-5 victory against Sumter County on the 13th. As for Deerfield-Windsor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-3 win against Dougherty on the 14th.
