Highland has gone 8-2 against Lancaster recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Highland Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Lancaster Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

Highland is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Antelope Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antelopes.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Lancaster challenged Knight on Thursday. Lancaster walked away with a 46-33 win over Knight. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Hawks are ranked 715th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Highland's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 13-13. As for Lancaster, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-4.

Everything went Highland's way against Lancaster when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Highland made off with a 61-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
