Volleyball Recap: West Plains Wolves vs. Andrews Mustangs
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Plains had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Andrews Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves who have now won ten games in a row.
While West Plains won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 27-25.
Kynzie Ward paced West Plains' offense, picking up ten kills. Ward got some help from
CC Murillo and her 15 assists. Finally, Ward was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.
Despite the loss, Andrews saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Danlee Fisher had ten digs. Fisher has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.
