Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Briggs). They were the clear victors by a 26-1 margin over the Columbus International Lions on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Cameron Griffith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Griffith was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Mitskevich, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. Troy Downs was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs.

Briggs pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus International, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Briggs will take on West at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Columbus International, they will challenge Whetstone at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
