Baseball Game Preview: Chattahoochee Cougars vs. Seckinger Jaguars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chattahoochee Cougars duke it out with Seckinger Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Chattahoochee 3.6, Seckinger 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chattahoochee's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seckinger on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

For Seckinger's part, not much got past Harry Pirkle, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Chattahoochee off the board. Pirkle has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jin Kasuya, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Seckinger's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Chattahoochee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
