Softball Recap: Davis County Comes Up Short

Davis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mediapolis Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 on Tuesday.

Davis County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Mediapolis, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis County will take on Fairfield on Thursday. As for Mediapolis, they will venture away from home to challenge West Burlington on Thursday.
