Mountain Empire dropped down to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Maranatha Christian Eagles and fell 41-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Redhawks were not able to get on the board.

Chance Ross threw for 43 yards on eight of 20 attempts. On the ground, Elisha Lashone Robinson rushed for 35 yards.

As for Maranatha Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 22 points or more this season.
