Chandler won the last time they faced Beggs and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Demons. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 15 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kennedy Allen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Madison Cagle was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Halle Herrmann, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Chandler's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Beggs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.
