Soccer Game Preview: University vs. Branson

The University Red Devils will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Branson Bulls at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

University is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Tamalpais on Wednesday. Neither University nor Tamalpais could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Branson put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Urban 4-3. The Bulls' winning goal came courtesy of Riley Pearson.

Branson's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Ally Hsieh got a bit more time on the pitch (72 vs. her season average of 47). Hsieh made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Branson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. University's draw gives them a new season record of 2-0-1.
