Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Skyline Falcons

Mountain View is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Skyline a ten-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Mountain View Mountain Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyline Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mountain View fell victim to Northridge and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 15-0 to the Grizzlies.

Meanwhile, Skyline also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Lyons on Saturday, falling 18-0.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15-1.

Everything went Mountain View's way against Skyline in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Mountain View made off with a 19-3 win. Will the Mountain Lions repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
