Softball Recap: Aspen Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Aspen's offense. They lost 23-0 to the Battle Mountain Huskies on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Skiers in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost five in a row.

Aspen's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Battle Mountain, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Aspen is taking a road trip to challenge Basalt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Longhorns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.37 runs per game on average), something the Skiers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Battle Mountain, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Eagle Valley at 3:00 p.m. The Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.65 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of.
