Football Recap: Boys Latin Drops Highest Score of Season Against Severn School + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boys Latin). They came out on top against the Severn School Admirals by a score of 31-21 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

A big part of Boys Latin's victory came down to the chemistry between Joey Keller and his top target Colt Erdos. Keller threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes while Erdos picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Keller a new career-high in passer rating (159.7). Alonzo Wallace handled things on the ground, rushing for 106 yards.

Boys Latin didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Severn School to a completion percentage of just 40%. The team can thank Jayden Walker for the heroic effort on defense: he. Boys Latin has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.65 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.65 in their last three games.

Severn School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jules Floyd, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of scores. Jack Fowler was another key player, picking up 100 receiving yards and one TD.

The win made it two in a row for Boys Latin and bumps their season record up to 3-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-4 Archbishop Curley and 2-4 Severn School. As for Severn School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
