Football Game Preview: Uniontown Eagles vs. Southeast Lancers

The Uniontown Eagles will face off against the Southeast Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Uniontown, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Uniontown didn't have too much trouble with Central Heights as they won 30-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Colter Powell was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Kyson Stock was another key player, rushing for 55 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Uniontown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Southeast played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 50-19 loss at the hands of South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven]. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Uniontown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Southeast, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Uniontown has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 207 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Southeast struggles in that department as they've been averaging 190.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything went Uniontown's way against Southeast in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Uniontown made off with a 45-24 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
