Basketball Game Preview: St. Patrick Fighting Irish vs. Moss Point Tigers

The St. Patrick Fighting Irish will head out on the road to square off against the Moss Point Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, St. Patrick was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to East Central.

Meanwhile, Moss Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Ocean Springs, falling 59-34.

Despite the defeat, Moss Point saw an underclassman step up: freshman Terrance Coleman posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Charles Nettles, who put up five points and five boards.

Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. Patrick, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
