Football Recap: Borah Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Borah extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were dealt a 53-6 loss at the hands of the Eagle Mustangs. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Dayton Wolverton threw for 101 yards on ten of 28 attempts. Merritt Knight was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards. On the ground, Sam Manirafasha rushed for 59 yards.

As for Eagle, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average this season.

NOAH BURNHAM continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 215 yards and two scores on only 15 carries, while also picking up 71 receiving yards and three TDs. AUSTIN RAMSEY was another key player, throwing for 171 yards and four touchdowns.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borah will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eagle, they will face off against Timberline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
