Volleyball Recap: American Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

American Heritage Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-7. They came up short against the GV Christian Guardians, falling 3-0. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

As for GV Christian, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 7-4. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Leading GV Christian to victory were Gabriella Delgado and Olivia Torres. Delgado had seven digs and five aces, while Torres had eight digs and five aces. That's the most aces Torres has posted since back in October of 2024.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, American Heritage Academy and Lincoln County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on September 4. The Lynx will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for GV Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 5.
