Softball Recap: Blue River vs. Highway 91
There's no place like home for Blue River, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Highway 91 an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. For Blue River, this counts as revenge for the 11-8 victory Highway 91 walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Abby Lindsley was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Blue River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highway 91 only posted a batting average of .222.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue River will square off against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Blue River surely won't give up without a fight. As for Highway 91, they will challenge Ponca on Monday.
