Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Kennedy

It was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy faced off against Laguna Creek on Wednesday. The Kennedy Cougars walked away with a 60-52 victory over the Laguna Creek Cardinals. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Laguna Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jestine Tofi, who posted six points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Tofi is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Casey McCoy, who had eight points and 12 rebounds.

Kennedy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Laguna Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
