Jay County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fort Recovery Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since May 7th.

Joseph Geesaman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Schemenaur, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Jay County's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Fort Recovery, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.
