Pueblo Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They put the hurt on the La Junta Tigers with a sharp 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Mariah Romero's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Sophia Perez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Pueblo Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for La Junta, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Pueblo Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-5 win against Pueblo East on the 30th. As for La Junta, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lamar on the 30th.
