Basketball Recap: Yucaipa Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Yucaipa extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Brianna Elgan. The Yucaipa Thunderbirds enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over the Cajon Cowboys on Thursday thanks in part to Elgan, who went 10 for 20 en route to 26 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Johanna Thames was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Cajon still got an impressive performance from Jasmine Jackson, who posted seven points.

Yucaipa now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Cajon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Yucaipa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-34 loss against El Dorado on the 20th. As for Cajon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-12 defeat against Beaumont on the 21st.
