Football Recap: Spring Hill Skates Past Emporia with Ease

Spring Hill never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Emporia Spartans to the tune of 43-0. That 43 point margin sets a new team best for the Broncos this season.

Spring Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Miller, who rushed for 71 yards and two scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 87 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Miller a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). Another rusher making a difference was Hank Kotchavar, who rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Spring Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Spring Hill's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points over those games. As for Emporia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
