Basketball Recap: Wilkes-Barre Takes a Loss

Wilkes-Barre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pittston Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Patriots are ranked 81st).

Wilkes-Barre now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Pittston, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Wilkes-Barre will challenge Hazleton Area at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hazleton Area's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 contests. Pittston has already played their next match (against Berwick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
