Baseball Recap: Melvindale Takes a Loss

The Cardinals fell 7-2 to the Garden City Cougars on Monday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Melvindale's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 13-1 and their overall record down to 24-8. As for Garden City, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Melvindale by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.
