Basketball Recap: Highlands Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Highlands extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Tyarah Woody. The Highlands Golden Rams walked away with a 64-52 victory over the Freeport Yellowjackets on Thursday thanks in part to Woody, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 boards. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Highlands is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Freeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Highlands will head out to face off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Freeport, they will host Knoch at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
