Baseball Recap: Nyssa Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Nyssa came up short against Baker/Powder Valley, falling 14-4. If Nyssa was looking for revenge after losing 13-5 to Baker/Powder Valley when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nyssa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Beck, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Nyssa dropped their record down to 1-17 with the loss, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Baker/Powder Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

Nyssa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baker/Powder Valley, they will take on Ontario at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.86 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
