Baseball Game Preview: The Weber School Rams vs. Walker Wolverines

The Weber School Rams will take on the Walker Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Weber School's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Walker's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The Weber School is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 6-3 to Whitefield Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Walker never let their opponents score on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Mt. Bethel Christian Academy. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Zachary Munafo's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Austin Lipscomb, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Travis Tatom, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Walker's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for The Weber School, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
