Football Recap: Warrensburg Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Warrensburg couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 49-7 defeat at the hands of the Kearney Bulldogs on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Bulldogs are ranked tenth).

With the loss, Warrensburg broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for Kearney, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Warrensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearney, they will square off against Festus at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
