Basketball Game Preview: Hercules Titans vs. El Cerrito Gauchos

The Hercules Titans and the El Cerrito Gauchos will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Hercules was beaten by Swett 57-24. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, El Cerrito played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 38-17 to Kennedy. The Gauchos were down 33-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hercules dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for El Cerrito, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hercules was dealt a bruising 41-11 defeat at the hands of El Cerrito in their previous matchup back in January. Can Hercules avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
