Softball Recap: Waukee Comes Up Short

Waukee has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.84 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on June 4th.

Waukee has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Northwest, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Waukee has already played their next contest, a 9-1 victory against Winterset on the 27th. As for Northwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Ames on the 27th.
