Elbert County is 7-2 against Thomson since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Thomson will be up against a hot Elbert County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 11. The Blue Devils blew past Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy 16-1 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomson). They put the hurt on Burke County with a sharp 23-14 win on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Janiya Scott, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaliyah Ruff, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Thomson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Elbert County's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Thomson, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Everything went Elbert County's way against Thomson in their previous matchup back in August, as Elbert County made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
