Softball Recap: Dunwoody Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Dunwoody couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Roswell Hornets by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Anslie Worley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

At the plate, Dunwoody saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaz McLoughlin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Dunwoody has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season. As for Roswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Dunwoody nor Roswell have any future games scheduled.
