Recap: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. Santa Clara Saints
Make it eight blowout wins for the St. Bonaventure Seraphs this season. They claimed a resounding 55-23 victory over Santa Clara on the road. The win was familiar territory for St. Bonaventure who now have five in a row.
Sarah Cosio continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Sophia Fernandez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
St. Bonaventure's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Santa Clara, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-23.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bonaventure will take on Cate at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Cate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 784th, while St. Bonaventure is ranked 334th). As for Santa Clara, they will be playing at home against Foothill Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
