Soccer Recap: Harlem Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 goals the game before, Harlem was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Aquinas Fightin' Irish by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Harlem has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. The win (which was Aquinas' third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Harlem will head out to challenge Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aquinas, they have already played their next match, a 9-0 victory against Howard on the 28th.
