Baseball Recap: Savannah Country Day Comes Up Short

The Hornets came up short against the Indians on Tuesday, falling 14-3. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Carter Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Tyler Scott was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Savannah Country Day has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Vidalia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

While Savannah Country Day had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
