Basketball Recap: Northern Potter Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northern Potter can now relate to. They took a blow against the Otto-Eldred Terrors on Friday, falling 61-26. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Terrors are ranked 174th).

Leading Otto-Eldred to victory were Baylee Francis and Rayel Hakes. Francis went 6-for-8 to rack up 15 points, while Hakes went 5-for-6 on her way to 10 points and four steals. That's the most steals Hakes has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Bell, who scored seven points.

Northern Potter's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Otto-Eldred, their record is now 21-4.

Northern Potter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Otto-Eldred, they will face off against Clarion-Limestone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
