Basketball Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Skates Past Bethel with Ease

Salesian College Preparatory waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Bethel Jaguars 80-32. That looming 80-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pride yet this season.

Salesian College Preparatory's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamia Sawyer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Sawyer is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Naomi Young was another key player, putting up 16 points and five steals.

Salesian College Preparatory pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bethel, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salesian College Preparatory will head out to challenge Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethel, they are taking a road trip to take on Berkeley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
