Basketball Recap: Sierra Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sierra entered their tilt with Central Catholic on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 41-31 win over the Central Catholic Raiders. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Sierra's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mya Everett, who posted 18 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Everett has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Alison Cozby was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Sierra pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Sierra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-40 loss against East Union on the 16th. Central Catholic has also already played their next game, a 49-46 victory against Oakdale on the 16th.
