Clay Center had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 3-1 to make it six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chapman Irish 44-8. That looming 44-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

As for Chapman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Clay Center is ranked 32nd).

Chapman's loss came despite strong showings from Audiel Becker and Colton Bell. Becker rushed for 124 yards and one score, while Bell rushed for 48 yards. Becker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.
