Baseball Recap: Upson-Lee Comes Up Short

Upson-Lee's last matchup with Starr's Mill could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Upson-Lee Knights came up short against the Starr's Mill Panthers, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Upson-Lee has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. The win was the 12th in a row for Starr's Mill, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upson-Lee will challenge Fayette County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Starr's Mill, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Starr's Mill Panthers take on Newnan Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newnan is on a four-game streak of home wins, Starr's Mill a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
