Soccer Game Preview: Paramount vs. Carson

The Paramount Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Carson Colts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Paramount is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They and the Warriors finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Carson's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of St. Mary's Academy by a score of 1-0.

Paramount's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-2. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
