Portola lost against Quincy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Portola Tigers took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quincy Trojans. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Quincy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenna Peay, who posted 22 points and seven boards. Those 22 points gave Peay a new career-high. Skylar McCarthy was another key player, putting up five points along with 15 rebounds and five assists.

Portola's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Quincy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Portola won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sierra Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Quincy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chester at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
