Softball Recap: Wayne County Has No Trouble Against Chapel Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayne County). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Chapel Hill Panthers on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Yellow Jackets with their most commanding win of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Wayne County and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Wayne County will square off against East Coweta at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 0.4 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chapel Hill, they will face off against Johnson at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
