The Seahorses have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Colton Bramhall made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cal Simon, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Champlain Valley Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
