Soccer Game Preview: Peachtree Ridge vs. Norcross

The Peachtree Ridge Lions will take on the Norcross Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Peachtree Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Decatur by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lions were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Norcross was able to grind out a solid win over North Gwinnett on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norcross hit North Gwinnett with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Connor Keniley, Santiago Cardona Marin, and William Jaimes.

Norcross pushed their record up to 8-0-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six games. As for Peachtree Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Peachtree Ridge took their victory against Norcross when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Peachtree Ridge repeat their success, or does Norcross have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
