Baseball Recap: Crestview Takes a Loss

Crestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Western Reserve Roughriders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roughriders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Tuesday.

Troy Weaver made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Crestview now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Western Reserve, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-5 win against Mapleton on the 15th. As for Western Reserve, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against Mansfield Christian on the 14th.
