Softball Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

Piedmont Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Athens Christian Eagles, falling 9-0.

Piedmont Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Athens Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Piedmont Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Georgia Military College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Athens Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tallulah Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
