Melrose won against Escalante last Friday with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Buffaloes enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the SonBlazers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Melrose's record is now 4-2. As for Mesilla Valley Christian School, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
