Softball Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS Comes Up Short

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Webster City Lynx, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Webster City this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in May.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Webster City, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against South Hamilton on the 19th. As for Webster City, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-3 win against Pocahontas on the 19th.
