Baseball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short

Savannah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Claxton Tigers, falling 20-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-6 on Wednesday.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Claxton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Savannah will head out on the road to square off against Emanuel County Institute at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th. As for Claxton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bryan County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bryan County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
